Halflings believe that they were created by Melora and Sehanine who sought to create a race that loved nature and gifted with stealth. Despite this, most halflings follow Avandra, the goddess of luck. They are a race of wanderers who greet every challenge with a smile on their face.
Halflings have no true communities of their own. Instead they build their homes within or near the communities of other races, primarily humans. Because of their cheerful and open demeanor, halflings are welcomed most anywhere. They have a rich oral tradition and love nothing more than to sit down to a warm meal and a good story. There are no rulers or nobles among the halflings, instead they look to the eldest members of their commuinity or family for guidance.
